A lovely hand painted, trinket handled dish by Morimura pre 1921. Stamped with the Morimura logo and marked "Nippon" on the bottom.
This is a delicate dish with a lovely hand painted scene in a soft, matte finished glaze. The edge is painted gold and features raised, red paint dots, representative of the early Nippon style. This is just a sweet, delicate little dish. It is 5.5 in. long by 4 in. wide and stands 3/4 in. tall.
Remarkably, given its age, there is no crazing, no nicks, cracks, chips or scratches. There is slight wear to the gold trim paint on the edges, but as you can see in the pictures, the overall condition is great and the image is still vibrant.
